Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic individual ready to learn and expand their knowledge in the collections industry. Our company carries out a variety of judgment enforcement throughout the bay area & California. We collect on all types of judgments and perform enforcements such as wage garnishments, bank levies, property liens, and much more.
The Administrative Collections Assistant will perform a wide variety of office duties, data entry, case research, online research of business entities with official governing agencies, and verifying information.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Look-up cases online court portals & screen list of cases provided that have judgments and create a list of potential judgments
● Research judgment debtor status to determine the priority of a judgment
● Determine whether judgment debtors have more or several judgments or satisfied judgments. What is the status?
● Skiptrace plaintiff or Original creditor and make contact; use steps 1,2,3 to (sell) get judgment assigned
● Email Original Creditors Assignment of Judgment and Purchase Agreement OR make an appointment for them to come into the office
● Prepare legal documents using correct formatting
● Use different Online tools to screen for Business research and Court research.
● Perform document review when needed
● Maintain office calendar, court dates, payment dates, customer’s update dates, and deadlines
● Prepare packets for wage garnishments, bank levies, property liens, etc.
● Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisors and Administration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● College degree or equivalent
● 2-5 years of previous office experience, legal admin is a plus
● High-level knowledge in MS Excel
● Perform a variety of office tasks for upper management
● Ability to multitask, Adaptability and work well under pressure
● Strong Effective writing skills; excellent proofreading, spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and organizational skill
● Able to follow procedures and work effectively with others
● Able to work with minimal supervision exercising good judgment and decision making
● Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

We are looking for someone who is positive, professional, reliable, and a courteous team player who can work with minimum supervision. Working knowledge of judgment recovery cases is a big plus. If you do not have experience, we are willing to train the right person.
